ADITYA-L1's third earth-bound manoeuvre successful; Next manoeuvre on September 15 | Oneindia News
Aditya L1 spacecraft, India's first space-based mission to study the Sun, successfully underwent its third earth-bound manoeuvre in the early hours today, ISRO said.
The space agency's Telemetry, Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC) carried out the operation.
"The third Earth-bound manoeuvre is performed successfully from ISTRAC, Bengaluru.
ISRO's ground stations at Mauritius, Bengaluru, SDSC-SHAR and Port Blair tracked the satellite during this operation," ISRO said in a post on social media platform X.
The new orbit attained is 296 km x 71767 km, it said, adding the next manoeuvre is scheduled on September 15, around 2 am.
Maxar Technologies, a U.S. satellite giant, is under scrutiny for providing high-resolution imagery of Pahalgam to a Pakistani firm weeks before a deadly terror attack. The firm, linked to nuclear smuggling, placed 12 orders for images, including strategic locations such as Rajouri, Pulwama, and Anantnag, which are critical to Indian security. Concerns are rising after ISRO scientists warned that the imagery could have been used to map troop movements for the attack. The partnership with the Pakistani firm raises questions about Maxar’s background check protocols, leading Indian officials to demand a full investigation.

Myanmar Earthquake: The death toll from Myanmar’s devastating 7.7-magnitude earthquake has risen to 2,719, with officials warning it could surpass 3,000. Rescue teams are racing against time as over 4,500 people are injured and more than 400 remain missing. Experts say survival chances for those trapped under rubble dwindle with each passing day, making the next few days critical. Meanwhile, international aid groups, including teams from India, are rushing to provide food, water, and medical assistance to the worst-hit areas.
