Urdu Poet Munawwar Rana Passes Away at the age of 71, Was Admitted in Lucknow | Oneindia

Renowned Urdu poet Munnawar Rana, aged 71, passed away due to cardiac arrest at SGPGIMS in Lucknow after battling chronic illness.

Born in Uttar Pradesh, he spent much of his life in Kolkata.

Recognized for his poem 'Shahdaba,' he received the Sahitya Akademi Award in 2014.

Rana leaves behind a lasting legacy in Urdu literature.
