It comes as the daughter of the late Sir David Amess, a Conservative MP who was murdered during a constitutency surgery in 2021, said she believes the Southport attacks may not have happened if there had been a full public inquiry into her father's death three years ago. A thief who murdered an Amazon delivery driver has been jailed for a minimum term of 30 years at Leeds Crown Court. Claudiu Carol Kondor was delivering parcels in Leeds last year when Mark Ross tried to steal his van, a court heard. Mr Kondor clung onto the vehicle as the defendant hit speeds of up to 60mph before hitting two parked cars. Mr Kondor died from head and chest injuries from the collision, the court heard.
