IndiaTimes Monday, 15 May 2023
Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal on Monday took a swipe at the BJP over its defeat in the Karnataka elections, saying the lesson from the poll outcome was that one cannot sell the same product, repeat the same lies or play the communal card all the time. In the May 10 elections, the Congress won 135 of the 224 seats, while the BJP and the JD(S) secured 66 and 19 seats, respectively.

LS Polls 2024: Congress manifesto launch | Priyanka Gandhi, Kharge slam BJP, Modi | Oneindia News

Top Congress leaders, including the party president Mallikarjun Kharge, former president Sonia Gandhi, held a rally in Jaipur on Saturday, April 6, to publicly launch its election manifesto 'Nyay Patra'. The Jaipur public rally comes a day after the Congress released its manifesto for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls promising a legal guarantee for MSP, and passing a constitutional amendment to raise the 50 per cent cap on reservations for SCs, STs and OBCs among others. The release of the manifesto 'Nyay Patra' was announced by Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, expressing happiness and pride in her mother Sonia Gandhi's presence in Rajasthan after becoming a member of the Rajya Sabha. Unemployment, claimed to be at its peak, was criticised, with allegations made against the BJP and Modi government for failing to address the issue adequately. The Agniveer scheme, accused of shattering people's hopes, was mentioned, along with concerns raised about leaked papers in various states and the ongoing protests by farmers, suggesting that PM Modi is unwilling to heed their grievances.
