Transgender prisoners must be treated at par with other inmates: says SC panel on prison reforms

The Supreme Court Committee on Prison Reforms has recommended that transgender prisoners should be treated equally and have access to the same rights and facilities as other inmates. The committee also recommended that state governments and prison departments take effective measures to eradicate discrimination and violence against transgender prisoners.
