Mumbai blaze kills sister, nephew of ex-IPL player

A fire in a building in Kandivli, Mumbai, resulted in the death of former IPL cricketer Paul Valthaty's sister and nephew. The cause of the fire is unknown, but it originated from the kitchen of a flat on the first floor and spread to the upper floors. Valthaty was present at the time and helped evacuate people from the building. Three people were injured in the blaze, and several flats suffered damages. The fire was eventually extinguished by the fire brigade.
