'Raids during election...it has never happened', says Mallikarjun Kharge
Saturday, 28 October 2023 Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge criticized the Central government for recent raids conducted by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Rajasthan. Kharge stated that the Congress won't be intimidated and that one day the BJP will have to face similar consequences. The ED conducted raids at the residences of state Congress president Govind Singh Dotasara and a coaching center allegedly linked to him. The ED has also summoned Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot's son for questioning in a FEMA case. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Congress leader Sachin Pilot also condemned the raids, suggesting that the BJP is resorting to "goondaism" and attempting to influence the election outcome.
