The Supreme Court has ordered the governments of Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan to provide a detailed account of the measures they have taken to control air pollution. The court expressed concern over the deteriorating air quality in Delhi and the difficulty of stepping outside due to pollution. The court also requested the Commission for Air Quality Management to present a report on the current situation, including the Air Quality Index and incidents of farm fires.
