Allegations of plot to kill Sikh extremist on American soil: India forms probe panel

IndiaTimes Wednesday, 29 November 2023
India forms committee to investigate alleged conspiracy involving US authorities, Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, and Indian government. US authorities reportedly stopped a plot to assassinate Pannun and warned India about its potential involvement. India's External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson, Arindam Bagchi, confirmed the formation of a high-level inquiry committee on November 18 to examine the matter. Bagchi stated that India takes such inputs seriously as they impact national security interests. The committee's findings will determine the necessary follow-up actions taken by India.
