EC suspends three Telangana officers for attempting to dilute seizure case worth Rs 18 lakh

Election Commission issued an immediate suspension order for three police officers in Telangana, including a Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) stationed in Hyderabad. The officers, namely M Venkatswarulu (DCP, Central Zone, Hyderabad), A Yadagiri (Assistant Commissioner of Police, Chikkadpally), and Jahangir Yadav (Inspector of Police, Musheerabad police station), are accused of attempting to weaken a case involving the seizure and recovery of Rs 18 lakh, mobile phones, and cheque books. The EC also directed the initiation of disciplinary proceedings against them.
