Rajnath Singh and BJP observers arrive in Jaipur for BJP Legislature party meeting to pick CM
Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, along with party observers Vinod Tawde and Saroj Pandey, arrived in Jaipur for the legislature party meeting. The meeting will decide on the new Chief Minister for Rajasthan. Singh, Tawde, and Pandey were welcomed by former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and state BJP chief CP Joshi. Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi also attended the meeting. In the recent Rajasthan assembly polls, the BJP secured 115 seats out of 199, leading to the ousting of the incumbent Ashok Gehlot government, while the Congress won 69 seats.
