Uttarakhand’s economy soars: GSDP rises 24 times, per capita income up 17 times in 24 years
Friday, 8 November 2024 Uttarakhand's economy has grown significantly in the 24 years since its formation. The state's GSDP has increased from Rs 14,501 crore to Rs 3,46,000 crore, driven largely by the tourism sector. Per capita income has also risen considerably, reaching Rs 2.60 lakh. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami attributed the state's progress to the collective efforts of the people and the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In a tragic crash near Kedarnath, an Aryan Aviation chopper carrying seven people—including a 23-month-old child and the pilot—plunged into a forest between Gaurikund and Sonprayag.
