NIA files chargesheet against two in Baramulla arms seizure case
Saturday, 21 December 2024 The National Investigation Agency (NIA) filed charges against two alleged Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM) members in Jammu. Mubashir Maqbool Mir and driver Waheed ul-Zahoor were apprehended after explosives and weapons were discovered in their vehicle at a Baramulla checkpoint on June 30. Waheed's attempted escape and subsequent confession led investigators to Mir. Both are accused of collaborating with HM operatives in Pakistan.
Kashmir Terror Mastermind Suleiman Shah was formerly a Pakistan Army commando turned Lashkar-e-Taiba operative, as mentioned in media reports. He has been eliminated in a high-stakes operation led by the Indian Army, CRPF and J&K Police. The Kashmir Terror Mastermind was responsible for deadly attacks across Baramulla and Pahalgam, with a βΉ20 lakh bounty on his head. Operation Mahadev neutralised the Kashmir Terror Mastermind and two other high-value foreign terrorists, delivering a significant blow to cross-border terror networks operating in South Kashmir.
