Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath announced that 54 out of 67 pilgrimage sites have been reclaimed in Sambhal district. He criticized the Samajwadi Party for playing with religious sentiments. Plan to transform Sambhal into a major religious and tourist destination with efforts to restore ancient wells and protected heritage sites are underway.
