Karnataka nixes CID probe into police escort for Ranya Rao

The Karnataka government withdrew its approval for a CID probe into the police escort given to actor Ranya Rao at Bengaluru airport. This decision came within 24 hours of the announcement, allegedly due to pressure, and is now handled by senior IAS officer Gaurav Gupta.
