Stroke could cause nearly 10 million deaths annually by 2050: Lancet study

The study emphasizes the urgent need for action to address this growing health and economic burden, particularly in lower and middle-income countries. The authors recommend improving stroke surveillance, prevention and acute care. It highlights the importance of meeting the World Health Organization's Sustainable Development Goal.
