Actor Sandeep Nahar died allegedly by suicide in Mumbai's Goregaon area, said police on February 15. According to the police officials, Nahar died at his residence and his body has been sent for post-mortem. A case has been lodged and the matter is being probed, said police. Nahar, who had worked in 'Kesari' and 'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story', wrote a note on Facebook, stating that he was going to die by suicide. In a video on his social media handle, Nahar was speaking about his life, explaining how he was suffering at both personal and professional levels. The actor is known for performing supporting role alongside Akshay Kumar and late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who allegedly died by suicide at his residence in Mumbai's Bandra in June, 2020.
Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar on April 09 said he is in a favour of the COVID-19 vaccination to journalists of all age groups after the sudden surge in COVID-19 cases in country. "I am in the favour of the vaccination of journalists of all age groups. They go everywhere to cover news and should be included among frontline workers," CM said.
Amid COVID-19 surge in the country, Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar on April 09 informed that people coming by trains from Maharashtra will be tested for COVID-19 at the railway stations in the state. "For those from Bihar who are returning to the State due to the current COVID19 situation, arrangements are being made for them. Those coming by trains from Maharashtra will be tested for COVID-19 at the railway stations," CM said during a press conference in Patna. In a major goof-up, authorities at Patna Medical College and Hospital issued a death certificate of alive COVID-19 patient. Chunnu Kumar, aged 40 was admitted after apparently suffering from brain haemorrhage. PMCH issued the death certificate and his relatives were informed that he had passed away on April 11 due to Covid-19. Kavita Devi, wife of the patient said, "We were informed that he had died. But when I saw his face at the crematorium, I found that it was not his body". Talking about the same, PMCH superintendent Dr IS Thakur said, "Stern action will be taken against those found guilty."

A jeweller in Patna said, "Last year was very bad for us. The rescheduling or cancelling of wedding have directly hit the sales and a jeweller said, "Jewellery sales are not up to our expectations because weddings are being rescheduled or cancelled due to rising cases." Amid scarcity of COVID-19 vaccines in some states, a special transport special transport vehicle carrying COVID-19 vaccine, (Covishield) broke down in Patna on April 09. Pharmacist Mukesh Kumar, who accompanied the van carrying vaccine doses said that 89,689 vials being transported in this van. Each vial contains 10 doses.
