Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday said that BJP and Congress are afraid of the people who voted for the AAP in the local body polls in Gujarat. "I have been listening to statements of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress, over the past few days after the results. They are perturbed and a little scared. We have to understand that they are not scared of you or AAP. They are scared of people who voted for you," Kejriwal said addressing the newly elected corporators in Surat. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal met newly elected corporators of the party and its volunteers here, after getting a rise in the local body elections in the state. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on February 26 held a roadshow in Gujarat's Surat after Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) scored seats in Gujarat local body polls. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) got good number of seats in civic body polls in its debut. The party got 27 seats in the Surat Municipal Corporation. The ruling BJP swept the polls across six municipal corporations in Gujarat, winning 483 out of 576 seats.
While speaking to ANI in the national capital on March 06, the General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, Champat Rai spoke on Ram Temple construction and donation. Rai said, "Door-to-door collection has stopped. People can donate online on the Trust's website. We are in talks to acquire land for a ground in front of the temple but nothing decided yet." "Temple to be ready in 3 years," he added.
After former chief minister Siddaramaiah refused for donation of Ram Temple, Karnataka Minister KS Eshwarappa said 'one Siddaramaiah is enough to destroy Congress party.' "One Siddaramaiah is enough to destroy Congress party. Similarly, HD Kumaraswamy is destroying his party. Even the poor are giving Rs 10 each (for Ram temple) out of devotion. Siddaramaiah says that it's disputed land, so he won't contribute," said Karnataka Minister KS Eshwarappa. He added, "PFI tells people to not contribute (for Ram Temple) as it's disputed land, Siddaramaiah says the same. They have the same opinion. There is no difference between Siddaramaiah and PFI, they are one."
Former chief minister of Karnataka, and Janata Dal (Secular) leader HD Kumaraswamy on February 17 raised several questions on the process of Ram Mandir fund collection, he also alleged that he has been threatened to donate money. "I am not concerned about contribution of money (for Ram temple), if required I will also contribute. But who is actually giving information? Where is the transparency in collecting money? Several people are collecting money by threatening others. I am also a victim, 3 people, including a woman, came to my house. They threatened me that why am I not giving money, this is country's prime issue - why are you not giving money? Who is she? Is she authorised to come and ask me?" questioned Kumaraswamy.

Uttar Pradesh government's proposal for an international airport in Ayodhya has been approved by the Centre, informed Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on February 26. "UP government's proposal for an international airport in Ayodhya has been approved by the Centre. About Rs 1,000 crore have been allocated to the district administration. The central government has disbursed Rs 250 crore," said CM Yogi.
80-year-old Sevi Mohammed Sharif received a letter from Government of India in which he was told that he will be honoured with Padma Shri. It has been a year since he received a letter but so far he has not received the award. Sevi Mohammed Sharif resides in Ayodhya and is bed ridden due to several health issues. Sharif's grandchildren look after him. Family is in hope that after he is honoured with the award, there might be some assistance provided by government for his medical treatment. As the vaccination drive against COVID-19 is in full swing, around 100 saints at the Swaminarayan temple in Ahmedabad also received their shots on March 08. Interestingly, the jabs were given to the saints at the Swaminarayan temple where all the arrangements were done for the vaccination.
