Labour: PM should raise human rights during Saudi visit
Labour's Angela Rayner calls on Rishi Sunak to raise human rights concerns during an expected visit to the UK by Saudi Arabia’s crown prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Speaking in Scotland, the party's deputy leader says: "It's important as part of that visit that the prime minister speaks to him about the human rights issues where he had real, deep concerns about that but you also have to have dialogue”.

A Moroccan asylum seeker has been sentenced to life in jail for murder, with a minimum term of 45 years, at Teesside Crown Court. In October last year, 45-year-old Ahmed Alid stabbed Iranian Christian convert Javed Nouri at the house he was sharing with other asylum seekers before looking for more victims in Hartlepool town centre. He then stabbed and killed 70-year-old Terence Carney who was out for his regular early morning walk.
