Canada row: Jaishankar signals India may resume visa services, says Vienna Convention allows parity

The Indian government is considering resuming visa services for Canadian nationals following the recent diplomatic row between the two countries. India had suspended visa services and the e-visa facility for Canadians due to security concerns. However, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar stated that the situation could improve soon, allowing for the resumption of visa services. The tensions between India and Canada arose from India's decision to expel 41 Canadian diplomats, which Canada responded to by closing its consulates in Chandigarh, Mumbai, and Bengaluru.
