Saturday, 13 January 2024 Senior functionaries of UP Congress will visit the Ram temple in Ayodhya on Makar Sankranti on Monday. The state Congress has kept its programme unchanged, which had been announced earlier, though party president Mallikarjun Kharge and Sonia Gandhi have respectfully declined the invite for the January 22 consecration ceremony. The UP Congress delegation that will visit the temple will include state party chief Ajay Rai, party's UP in-charge Avinash Pandey, Rajya Sabha MP Pramod Tiwari, Congress assembly leader Anuradha Mishra, and senior party politician PL Punia.
