In the Vadgaon Sheri Assembly constituency, Nationalist Congress Party's (NCP) Sunil Vijay Tingre took an early lead over NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar)'s Bapusaheb Tukaram Pathare as vote counting began for the Maharashtra Assembly polls. The constituency saw a close contest between the BJP and NCP in 2019, with Tingre narrowly defeating the BJP's Jagdish Mulik.
