IPS Gyanendra Pratap Singh appointed as new director general of CRPF

Gyanendra Pratap Singh, currently DGP of Assam police, is appointed as the new DG of CRPF. He will take charge after the Republic Day celebrations in Assam. Singh's tenure lasts until November 30, 2027. Harmeet Singh is likely to be the next Assam DGP.
