The Northern Eastern Railways activated helpline numbers, and railway medical vans have arrived at the accident site for rescue operations.

Indian Railways has commenced relief operations, prioritizing the evacuation of passengers, while the Railway Board issued additional helpline numbers for support.

Television footage showed overturned coaches along the tracks, with passengers gathered outside, highlighting ongoing efforts by authorities to ensure the safety and well-being of all those affected by the derailment.
