The government denied an increase in joblessness among graduate youths. However, reports suggested that 42% of Indian graduates under the age of 25 were unemployed in 2021-22. The latest available data shows a declining trend in the unemployment rate for graduate persons, with rates of 14.9% and 13.4% in 2021-22 and 2022-23, respectively.
